John Anthony Barrasso III is an American physician and politician serving as the senior United States senator from Wyoming. Currently in his fourth term, Barrasso has held his seat since 2007. A member of the Republican Party, he served in the Wyoming State Senate from 2003 to 2007. As Senate majority whip since 2025, he is the second-ranking Senate Republican.
